In this episode Charles and I take you on the first of our audio tours of Guernsey. Hopefully there will be a few more of these (when it’s a little less chilly out). I have some blog recommendations for you too, as well as an update on my recent creative exploits. So put on a pot of coffee, and some hand-knitted socks, and join me for some crafty chatter.

This is a bumper episode focusing on our wonderful crafty community. There’s quite a bit of knitting (including a knitalong with the lovely Chloe and Kate), news on my ebook and some other crafty community recommendations. There is also an update on the forthcoming Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society movie. Sadly I didn’t get the lead role, but have a listen to the show to find out who did! Happy new year and welcome to 2012! As I am returning from a short podcast break, I spend most of this episode catching listeners up with what I’ve been doing, as well as saying a few thank yous to the lovely people who contacted me during my break. I cover my recent (mostly knitted) creative exploits, touch on Christmas and then turn my attention to the new year. I share a few of my new year’s resolutions and consider a few ways to ensure resolutions are kept. The Guernsey section of the show is all about the Guernsey Dairy. Let’s catch up!

It’s been a few weeks since the last episode so this show is a something of a crafty catch up. There will, as always, be a works in progress update. This bumper episode explores ideas for ‘man crafts’ and concludes that there is really no such thing! Craft shouldn’t be gender stereotyped. Craft is for all – it’s universal. Charles is a guest on the show and we make Christmas cake soap and share crafty ideas. Charles is in charge of the Guernsey section of the show and it’s all about dolmens. There is also a special offer for all podcast listeners and blog readers. So sit back, relax, grab a cuppa and enjoy the crafty banter.

This show is all about Guernsey’s 2011 North Show and features co-host Chloe and new ‘friend of the show’ Janet. It includes audio recorded from the show as well as a little history. The show is wrapped up with our recent creative exploits (we thought we’d better include a little craft after virtually forgetting to mention it in the North Show section. Oops!) It also features a kazoo solo, a sonic screwdriver and a tarantula. Intrigued? You should be…

In this episode I am joined by a guest co-host – the lovely Charles. Most of this episode’s content has been driven by Charles, hence the title ‘Charles in Charge!’ (Before you ask, no, it isn’t an homage to the 80s American sitcom featuring Diagnosis Murder star, Scott Baio… although that is a thought for another episode…!) We chat about my recent creative exploits as well as Charles’s recent culinary exploits, as he is known for being quite a foodie. We’ll share recipes and cooking tips, as well as a food orientated Guernsey segment, with ‘a twist’. Bon appetit.

In this show your host Martine will update you on her recent creative exploits (mostly knitting with a little leather work thrown in), as well as offering up some hints and tips for photographing your handmade items. You’ll also learn all about the famous Guernsey cow. Enjoy!

Welcome to episode 20. After a well earned rest, the podcast returns (or ‘strikes back’ for the Star Wars geeks, like me!) This bumper episode isn’t in the usual format, just to shake things up a little. Instead you’ll find lots of mini-segments including a giveaway, forgotten crafts, crafty TV recommendations, pods I like and a little pyrography (don’t worry, it’s perfectly legal).

I’ll be taking a short rest from the podcast for the next 4 to 6 weeks, but panic not, I shall be back! This isn’t me podfading, I promise!

This is a mini episode of the iMake podcast and, as the title suggests, it’s all about making soap! This weekend Charles and I got together to make soap. We documented the process on the the iMake blog. We also recorded a little bit of audio and there was enough for a mini episode, so here it is!

Welcome to episode 13 of the iMake podcast. This isn’t a typical podcast episode – it’s a mini episode entirely about my recent Stitch n’ Bitch Knit-Along (‘KAL’). Our KAL project was a toe-up sock. This episode contains audio recorded on the evening of the KAL. If you are a brand new iMake podcast listener please can I suggest you download some of my earlier episodes as this one isn’t in the usual format, so you really won’t get a feel for what the podcast is usually like. Also if you have no interest in sock knitting whatsoever I will not be offended in the slightest if you give this one a miss! The next full length episode of the iMake podcast will be released over the next fortnight, so watch this space.
