These cards are extremely quick and easy to make so they are perfect for complete beginners. They are also ideal for more experienced card makers needing a quick craft fix! The cards are inspired by my hand-stamped luggage labels (made for Christmas 2011). This tutorial may be of interest to you if you’ve never used rubber stamps before.

Here is a tutorial for one of the cards I included in a recent Christmas card-making workshop. It’s a really simple card – suitable for inexperienced card-makers. It’s the card on the far left of the image above. You can find a tutorial for the button tree card here (card on the far right, above).
As promised, here is a tutorial based on my first attempt at lino printing. I am printing on fabric, but you can print on anything you like – just make sure you pick the right ink.
Now Autumn is well and truly here, it’s time for warming, hearty dinners. One of hubby’s favourites is chilli, not least because I tend to make a large batch and put at least half in the freezer. This recipe came from my mother-in-law and has been tweaked a little along the way. I hope you like it.

I love buying or making gifts for my crafty friends. Here’s a nice idea with that in mind. Buy (or make) a plain draw string bag and then embellish it by hand. I went for applique and buttons but you could do anything you like. I think lino printing would work well. Then fill it with everything your friend needs to complete a craft project. For example, knitting needles, yarn, a pattern, stitch markers etc. I purchased some plain drawstring bags from The Clever Baggers and this is my attempt at decorating one.
It’s all about food in my household at the moment. I’ll be back to my traditional knitting/sewing/etc craft this weekend, all being well, but for now, it seems my blog is something of a food fest. |
