I made homemade lentil soup for dinner tonight, served with homemade granary bread and Guernsey butter. I can’t for the life of me remember where this recipe came from, but it was so delicious I just had to share … These cards are extremely quick and easy to make so they are perfect for complete beginners. They are also ideal for more experienced card makers needing a quick craft fix! The cards are inspired by my hand-stamped luggage labels (made for Christmas 2011). This tutorial may be of interest to you if you’ve never used rubber stamps before. In yesterday’s blog post there was some talk of ‘the promise of biscuits’. I thought it would be rude not to share my biscuits with you! Here are a few ideas for making gift tags out of simple luggage labels! It’s the card on the far left of the image above. You can find a tutorial for the button tree card here (card on the far right, above). As promised, here is a tutorial based on my first attempt at lino printing. I am printing on fabric, but you can print on anything you like – just make sure you pick the right ink. Now Autumn is well and truly here, it’s time for warming, hearty dinners. One of hubby’s favourites is chilli, not least because I tend to make a large batch and put at least half in the freezer. This recipe came from my mother-in-law and has been tweaked a little along the way. I hope you like it. Image details – Santa Christmas Gift Tags by AForestFrolic, via Flickr I thought it would be a nice idea for me to do a short post linking to existing iMake tutorials for items that would make good Christmas gifts. I have focused on items that are fairly quick and easy to make. I hope these links are useful… It’s all about food in my household at the moment. I’ll be back to my traditional knitting/sewing/etc craft this weekend, all being well, but for now, it seems my blog is something of a food fest. |
