March Giveaway: Toft Alpaca

Following their fabulous guest post for iMake about cute and fluffy alpacas, I am delighted to announce that the Toft Alpaca Shop are sponsoring our March giveaway!  Toft are very kindly giving away not one, not 2 but 5 of their wonderful pattern books.  I was lucky enough to review their pattern book, along with some of their wonderful yarn, so I can tell you first-hand that the book is excellent.

To enter the giveaway you need to visit the Toft Alpaca Shop website and check out their knitting kits and ready to wear lines.  Leave me a comment on this blog post telling me about an item in either of these 2 ranges that you’d really like to have (if you had an unlimited budget!)

The giveaway will close at the end of March 2012 and I will pick 5 winners at random.  I will contact the winners by email so please ensure that your email address is included with your comment.  This giveaway is open to all, but please ensure you just enter once.  Good luck!

  • I love this stuff! Most definitely I’d have the Cable Tank Top if I could choose – fab!

  • I would really love a giant bulb bag kit – I have been coveting them for a while but need to save up enough spare pennies for one. I have a terminally sick dog at the moment so all my money is spent on him and his tablets. Until then I am just window shopping on a regular basis.

  • Jan Pratt

I would choose the cabled legwarmer kit – i am coming back to live in Yorkshire after 12 years living in Spain so I think I am going to need extra help to keep my legs warm! thanks

  • Retha

I would love to have the Striped Deck Jumper (Small) kit or the lace cardigan. Everything is so lovely!!!

  • Judy

Ooh! I like a lot of this stuff, but would select the pebble bag kit in steel.

  • Karen

Lovely giveaway! I would cherish the Knee High Lace Socks Kit. Who doesn’t want cozy alpaca socks? They look fun to knit and would keep my toes warm on chilly Canadian winter nights.

  • Please enter me! What an exciting giveaway!!!
Well, I am in love with the ‘Easy Toggle Hat’ kit. It looks like a pixie hat, and that’s right up my street!!! :-)

I love the big toggle bag kit. I love the giant toggles, I may need to have one…

  • CarrotyCarrots

Ooh, I love the cross-over dress! I love the bags, too :)

  • That Knee High Lace Sock kit made me jump up excitedly! I’d just do them as legwarmers, long luxurious legwarmers…cause they look exactly like what I’ve been picturing in my head and need to get knitting on, winter is coming and I like to make sure that my short skirts and leggings are well supported by knitwear.

  • I’m torn between the Cable V neck sweater and the herringbone blanket. Can I have both? You did say unlimited budget…

  • Well if I had unlimited budget I would pick the swing vest kit.

http://www.thetoftalpacashop.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?AltProdID=BLANKET02 This would have to be my top buy if money was not a problem……I can dream huh? x

  • Roberta

The Cable Lace Scarf kit looks very warm and cozy! The alpaca’s are so cute looking.

  • Karendipity

The Big Bulb Bag is definitely on my wish list along with the beginner jumper even though I’m not a beginner and the Knee High Lace socks. That’s enough to be going on with I think.

  • Ann Rigg

Definitely the stripy cushion kit – looks so smart but casual at same time, easy to knit so it’s a project I will finish nice and quickly! Perfect for the afternoon nap on the sofa (if only!)

  • Stephanie Tsang

I would pick the plait hat kit.

  • Charlotte

I would love to make the striped deck jumper. Really stylish and looks gorgeous.

  • Lynn Blakeman

So many gorgeous items but I would choose the Big Toggle Felt Alpaca Bag if I could

  • Jen Arnall-Culliford

I adore the chunky cabled cape knitting kit. I just wish I had more time to knit as this would be such a great thing to make! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Tracy Nixon

OMG the whole site is full of wonderful things! If only I had the money….. One of the first items I would buy would have to be the Long Cable Sweater – how snuggly and cosy does that look!
    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  • Oh it’s tricky to choose, but I think I like the Striped Deck Jumper kit the most.

I absolutely adore their pom-poms though! Unfortunately I can’t think of any real use I’d have for them, other than recreating scenes from ‘the trouble with tribbles’.

  • I think it would have to be the peplum cardigan (large) although it probably wouldn’t look so lovely if I knitted it!

  • Lisa Buckley

I’d love to have the ribbed cardigan (L) to keep me lovely and warm

  • Allison

I would love the Chunky Sunday Jumper (Medium) if I had an unlimited budget, although I think the halter neck dress is really funky and would look great layered with other garments….I’m not daring enough (or young enough for that matter) to wear it on its own! Great website…love knitting!

  • NATALIE GOATLEY

It would have to be the Aran Cable Lace Blanket Kit. This looks so beautiful and warm and cosy and I would love to make this for my baby girl

  • Laura B

Such gorgeous patterns – would love to try a few! The cable v neck sweater and the moss stitch jacket and so wow!

  • Diane Tetreault

The Peplum cardigan is it!!!! and then there are all of those wonderful hats… my, oh, my!!!!

Thanks for introducing me to this fabulous site.

  • Wonderful site with wonderful articles ! My favorites are (there are a few) the big bulb bag, the cross dress and the ribbed cardigan !

  • Georgina Ball

I’d love the Tube Cowl SNood Kit – it looks seriously cozy! http://www.thetoftalpacashop.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?AltProdID=COWL01

  • Julia

I would love the Knee High Lace Socks kit. Can you imagine how luxurious those would be?? Oh my goodness. In terms of ready to wear, there’s little I wouldn’t do for that Crossover Dress

  • If money were no object, I would love to make the cable V neck sweater. It is gorgeous!

  • Lissy

Ooh, there are so many lovely things on their website! If I had to choose I think it would have to be the Diagonal Cable Cowl Kit. It looks gorgeous!

  • Lorrie

I fell in love with the fur slippers!!!

  • Jenny

I’d love to knit the peplum cardigan…stylish and wearable, perfect.

  • The long cabled sweater–yum!

  • lesley mcmurray

Just fell in love with your yarn when visiting stitch and craft show last year.it is so cuddly.i love the striped sweater .mmm

  • Pauline Fitzsimmons

What to choose, what to choose? I think I would go with the Moss Stitch Jacket, something cozy.

  • Susie

Oh goodness, I want it all but if I could have anything I’d go for the Chunky Sunday jumper Kit. It looks like it would knit up in no time at all and look great!

  • Helen

Argh! What difficult choices- so many delicious designs. After much deliberation, and a final choice between the cable cardigan and the cable V neck, I think it would have to be the cable V neck- shape and style with detail.

  • Judith

I’d get the giant bulb felt handbag, or the pompom beanie (really, a beanie, with a famous pom pom!!!), or the cross over dress… unlimited funds, right?

  • Jenny

These kits are very special, as is the Alpaca yarn which I know would be wonderful to knit with. The choice is amazing but I love the Herringbone rug most of all. I have always fancied the herringbone stitch since I found the instructions on Pinterest and have been looking for the perfect wool for it. It would make a snuggly blanket to wrap up in on cold winter nights.

  • Victoria Boland

The ribbed cardigan in the ready to wear section is lovely.

  • Aleda

I’d love the knee high lace socks kit – very cute!

  • Connie K.

I would love to make the Cable Tank Top.

  • Solange

I’d love the Knee High Lace Socks Kit.

  • Laura Cooper

Presuming I can’t actually have an alpaca (they’re so cute) i’d like the plait hat kit.

  • Laura

I love the Striped Deck Jumper!

  • The knee high lace socks are delicious, mmm alpaca socks :)

  • I would *love* a cable tunic kit in fudge. What great patterns, I just wish the sizing was more clear on the website (garment measurements would be a good idea).

  • Sam

unlimited budget? I would want the Striped Deck Jumper kit! I love it :) I love alpacas too – so cuuute!

  • Lynne Harlow

    The medium cable tunic. Yummy

  • Sue

So many lovely items to choose from, hmmmm, how to decide. But I think the Big Bulb Alpaca Bag would be a great addition to my bags. Martine, I think you’d rather fancy them as well with the big button:-)

  • I’d love a pair of the Long Alpaca Country Welly Socks – I get awfully cold feet when I wear my wellies on the allotment!

  • I would get the chunky cable cape kit! So cozy!

  • Lyn

If money were no object I would choose the cable throw and wrap myself up in all that squishyness.

  • Sally Hendricks-Bauer

    What a nice book.

  • Sandra

I really fancied the Emma cushion kit. But the choice was not easy as such a lot of nice items

  • I want that Union Jack shawl on the home page but can’t find it anywhere on the site :( it would remind me of all my podcasting friends across the pond…

  • Julie

I like the wave snood kit. It looks like lovely yarn!

  • Arlin

I agree with L Gesin above, the Union Jack shawl/blanket looks fabulous, but I guess that doesn’t count?
I’d love to have the Cable V-neck sweater in the garment knit kit, and the size is perfect for me too! But I can’t justify the price, sadly…

  • I have the mini bulb bag and LOVE it so I would also love the kit to knit the biggest bag (or the bag itself). The pattern book is also high on my list of things I would like

  • Debra Johnson

My friend has this book, & all I can say is ‘it’s just Fabulous’

  • Kerrie Vella

Love the giant bulb bag kit!

  • Herringbone Rug for sure. There are never enough blankets in the house.

  • Helle

It’s a though one. I’d be split between the two kits Beginner Sunday Jumper and the Button Mittens. As Spring has arrived I’d have to choose the jumper! It just looks so awesomely cosy. :)

After hearing your podcast I was so very happy to find their stall at Olympia last Saturday. Truly drool-inducing!
I would love to have the fudgey yarn and to make the tweed cowl. I did have my eye on a bag kit as well. Let’s face it-what wouldn’t you like!

    • I am glad you found them after the podcast Lisa – their stalls always look great and I love their products soooo much! :-)

  • Amanda Hume

If I had an unlimited budget I would pick the Herringbone Rug kit. With a totally unlimited
budget I would get a kit in each of the three colors!

  • My favourite stall at the NEC today. Just loved the wool, the bags, the buttons….but especially the super super soft teddy. They were gorgeous!!!!

  • Mippy

    Hi!
I would choose the Goody Bag Cowl Kit. Thank you for the chance! :)

  • Got to be the Jubilee Jumper for me *^_^*

  • Irene Jackson

I fell in love with the flower crochet scarf at Unravel. It looked so soft and delicate but was too expensive for me.

  • Suzie Shields

I like the bobble legwarmers. I have been wanting to knit a pair of legwarmers. I love these.

  • Debra

Gosh I just love them all, not sure which is my fav, probably a bag.

  • Jane Willis

I keep meaning to get back into crochet, so i’d pick the net and Flower scarf kit

  • Cammie

Ooh…for m it’s the pouffe kit!, I love those types of cushions!

  • Cheryl M

    What a wonderful prize!

Not really the weather for it, but I love the chunky cable cape – it’s gorgeous.

  • Jennifer Brown

Toft Alpaca’s yarn is gorgeously soft. I have only used it once to knit a pair of mittens but I would love to knit their large bulb bag. If only money were no object!

  • Paul Witney

Love the Giant Alpaca Fur Teddy – I’m sure my daughters would give him a very happy home.

  • angela sandhu

I love the Aran Cable Lace Blanket Kit. xx
